6 New SkyTrain routes (Bangkok)

GO-AHEAD: All six new skytrain routes will go ahead this year, at an estimated cost of 270 billion baht, Transport Minister Santi Prompat confirmed yesterday.

Tender documents for the Purple Line from Bang Yai to Bang Sue will go on sale early next month, and for the Blue Line from Bang Sue to Tha Phra in June.

Bidding terms for the Light Green Line connecting Mor Chit and Saphan Mai, the Dark Green Line from Sukhumvit 107 to Samut Prakan, and the Red Line from Rangsit to Bang Sue will be out in June and July.

The winner of the bidding for construction of the Red Line running from Bang Sue to Taling Chan would be announced next month.
